Amazon Studios will buy MGM Which For a dollar!
The company has finally given it the green light Robocop TV series for Prime Video from Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
New Robocop It will be an eight-episode series written by showrunner Peter Okko (Download 49) and executive producers James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett. The project was first announced to be in development three years ago.
Original 1987 Robocop Directed by Paul Verhoeven, the film* tells the story of the crime-ridden city of Detroit, where a fatally wounded police officer is rebuilt into a mechanical superhero. The film was acclaimed for its satirical take on corporate America. Ed Neumeyer — co-creator and co-writer of the original — will also serve as executive producer.

There were many efforts to expand Robocop In the franchise before. A 12-episode animated television series was released by Marvel Productions in 1988.
