Over the past couple of years, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has been quite open about his love for sports of all kinds. Not only this, he also shares his thoughts on things quite openly on his blog. In one of his recent posts online, Bachchan discussed the World Cup matches, specifically Argentina’s substitutions against England, and how it all comes down to the coaches.
Amitabh Bachchan talks about the FIFA World Cup
In his blog, the famous actor talked about how FIFA works and how victory lies in the hands of the teams’ coaches.
He wrote: “When you reach the end of the tournaments and there are only 4 teams left to compete with each other… it is difficult to make predictions… predictions follow your love and favorite followers… but the truth to me seems that at this stage we are dealing with 44 players.
. Semi-finals to finals… 11 for each team… and every player in this stage of the competition is a superstar!!”He also stressed the importance of how players are managed on the field by their coaches, despite the fact that all the players standing in line for victory are “superstars”.
He added in his post: “You cannot change their situation as a player.. but.. the need is how to manage them.. and here comes the role of the coach.. so the final match on Sunday early in the morning at 12:30 am will be a competition between the Spanish coach and the Argentine coach.
“The way they plan the match will be decisive… They will plan… The players have to execute.”He concluded his post by adding: “The other will see it and plan accordingly…
“The most interesting situation… in the last 3 minutes of Ince’s match against Argentina, the Argentine coach replaced a player with a striker… to attack… instead of sending a defender to defend the draw and then play extra time in the hope of winning… but it was a brilliant move… risky, but brave, and the result proved it.”Big B has been quite candid about his thoughts on FIFA in the past couple of days. A few days ago, he uploaded another blog post about major matches, specifically addressing the “unfair decisions” taking place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.He commented at the time, saying: “The timetables and the idea of time have deviated… and the reason, of course, is the 2026 World Cup… the times we see are strange and they make our days worse… but we see that we cheer and feel remorse… and we see with great sadness the unfair decisions that are made in favor of one over the other… and we get excited about the victories of those countries that we never imagined would reach the challenge of the World Cup. Most of the famous and well-known football countries have great regret, they lost.
. This is surprising…but he is thrilled by the fact that those we never imagined fought back and gained recognition. “They keep saying ‘I hope the best team wins’… but we never know who the better team is until the results are in.”
