‘Mother Promise’ box office collections on 8th: Poornachandra Mysuru’s Kannada comedy earns Rs 6 lakh

Poornachandra Mysuru’s ‘Mother Promise’ continued its theatrical run with modest collections on its eighth day.According to Sakneelak, the film collected an estimated net of Rs 6 lakh in India on its second Friday.

Net collection in India stands at Rs 1.85 lakh crore

With its eighth day earnings, ‘Mother Promise’ has taken its total India net collection to Rs 1.85 crore. The film’s total collection in India currently stands at Rs 2.08 crore.The global collection also stands at Rs 2.08 crore, as the film has not registered any overseas earnings so far. The film opened with Rs 31 lakh on its first day before seeing growth over the weekend. I collected Rs 48 lakh on the second day and Rs 49 lakh on the third day.

However, collections steadily declined after the weekend as the film entered its weekday release.

Collections are slow after the opening weekend

‘Mother Promise’ earned Rs 17 lakh on the fourth day. He then added Rs 13,000 on the fifth day, followed by Rs 11,000 on the sixth day. The film collected 10 thousand rupees on the seventh day before earning 6 thousand rupees on its eighth day.

The crime comedy is set in the alternative city of Bengaluru

The story is about a gambler whose life takes an unexpected turn after he loses everything.Dhananjaya plays Rossi, who runs a gambling syndicate and appreciates a motorcycle gifted by his mother. Mahadev Prasad appears as Don Biryani, the leader of the drug network and a long-time Russian rival.

Chi Guru Dutt portrays the role of Maggie, a powerful Don who maintains balance between rival gangs.The film is directed by Poornachandra Mysuru, with cinematography by Rahul Roy John and editing by Pradeep R Rao.ETimes gave mixed reactions to ‘A Mother’s Promise’. The review says: “Mother Promise aims to be a messy comedy but ends up being messy in more ways than intended. It delivers plenty of laughs and closes with a heartfelt message, but its narrative never comes together as a satisfying whole.”
