The council stressed that the Supreme Court uploaded its order on its website today and will examine the contents before taking any further action.

“The Supreme Court has uploaded its order on its website today. We will obtain a copy of the order and study it. After studying the directions issued by the court, necessary steps will be taken to implement it,” the Meena Collector told ANI.

Responding to a question about security arrangements, he said the administration would study all aspects of the directions issued by the Supreme Court and make necessary preparations accordingly.

“All aspects of the Supreme Court’s directions will be considered. Any preparations required by the administration to maintain peace, law and order will be taken and ensure a peaceful atmosphere in Dhar,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Gopal Sharma, organizer of Bhojshala Mukti Yajna, said the Muslim community should accept that the Bhojshala complex is a temple and respect the judicial process, while welcoming the Supreme Court’s interim arrangement regarding Friday prayers.

Speaking to ANI, Sharma said they have been offering prayers at the site every day since the Madhya Pradesh High Court recognized the disputed Bhojshala-Kamal Mulla complex as a temple.

“We respect the judicial system of the country. When the Supreme Court gave its ruling and accepted it as a temple, we have been worshiping there ever since. We are not looking at any specific day; we worship all the seven days. The Supreme Court order is welcome, but I say Muslims must accept that this is a temple and respect the system,” Sharma said.

He also claimed that repeated demands to perform prayers at the disputed site were unnecessary.

He said, “Their place is different, and in exchange for this place, they actually got a mosque in 1942. Demanding a new place over and over again, and insisting on performing prayers in this location, spoils the atmosphere of the city.”

This comes after the Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Center and the Madhya Pradesh government on a batch of pleas filed by the Muslim side challenging the Supreme Court ruling, which deemed the disputed 11th-century Bhoshala-Kamal Maula complex in Dhar district a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati.

The Supreme Court said it would hear the case; As a temporary measure, a separate open space adjacent to the complex may be made available for the Muslim community to perform prayers on Fridays between 1pm and 3pm.

The court also ordered that ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) not make any structural changes without seeking permission from the Supreme Court.
