A man in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a businessman by profession, accused his wife of getting involved with a man from the gym she goes to and approached the court to freeze access to the shared bank locker where valuables are kept.

The man said he recorded conversations inside their home between his wife and the man she was allegedly involved with to collect evidence against them, according to an India Today report.
The man claimed that the relationship between his wife and the man she met at the gym gradually turned into a romantic relationship. The man also alleged in his complaint that his wife’s alleged boyfriend started coming to their house during his absence. He claimed that when they do not meet, the two stay in touch through video calls and phone calls.

Following his complaint, a local court took note of the situation and asked the Cyber Crime Department to investigate the allegations and submit a report within a month.
How does a man spy on his wife?
According to the complainant, he decided to record proof of what happened between his wife and the man from the gym after he became suspicious of her change in behaviour. He also added that the neighbors and their two children also expressed concerns about the same, following which, he installed an audio recording system inside the house without his wife’s knowledge, reports India Today.

The recording system was hidden so that his wife could not discover it.
The complainant claimed that the audio recording he took confirmed his suspicions that his wife was having an affair with the man. He also added that he found them together in the car when he tracked them down during trips.
After confirming the matter, the man said he feared that valuables kept in a shared bank vault operated in his wife’s name were at risk, and approached court to freeze access to the vault.

After seizing the safe, the man claimed that his wife’s friend threatened him and asked to settle the matter and hand over the audio recordings. The complainant also claimed that he was threatened with involvement in a crime $1 crore financial dispute if he does not comply.
He claimed that this caused him psychological distress and depression, and also caused embarrassment to his family.
The man claimed that when he first contacted police and cybercrime authorities, no action was taken.
