The makers of Vijay starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’ have officially announced the theatrical release date of the film. After a long period of uncertainty over its release, it is finally set to hit the big screens in just a couple of days.

The production house took to its social media account to unveil a brand new poster of the film and announced that the CM Vijay starrer will be released on July 23. Sharing the poster, they wrote: “Tested by fire. Forged by time. Built for history. The fiercer the battle, the louder the victory.”

As for Unversed, the film is first planned for a January release. However, it was postponed due to censorship issues with the CBFC. Later in April, the film also faced another setback after it was leaked online in HD quality. Despite these issues, the makers of the game have now completed all the formalities and set the official release date.

Directed by H. Vinoth, ‘Jana Nayagan’ tells the story of Vetri Kundan, a former police officer and convict. He adopts a young girl named Fiji and raises her to be brave and independent. He also encourages her to join the army despite her fear. Vijay is shown as a leader of the people who takes a stand on their behalf. Later, he is seen quarreling with the main antagonist of the story, Bobby Deol’s character, a corrupt character who seeks power and control.
