The vlogger, known as Aayush Sapra, released a video focusing on him reviewing the food being served to volunteers at the Kukrush Janta Party, covering the protest at Jantar Mantar.

In the video, Sapra walks around the place, tasting different dishes and talking to the people gathered there. He takes a bowl of shul and says:Yahan we have chole ki sabji. Roti khatam ho gayi hai. Request bohot increase hai. Surf Sonam ji bhoki hain, paki sab bhar bhar ki kha rahi hain. (Here we have cholesterol disease. The rotis are finished because the demand is so high. Only Sonam ji is hungry, while everyone else is eating.)”

The vlogger continues to talk to people and is heard saying that he feels like harassing Sonam Wangchuk with the samosas and chutney he is eating.

Social media is divided

While food being served to volunteers and supporters at protests is not unusual, Sapra’s video has left the internet divided, if only for the irony of him reviewing the food while Wangkok’s health is deteriorating due to his indefinite hunger strike.

This irony was also addressed by Sapra in his video, where he stated that he was here to review the food due to high demand from his viewers.

“Only a food vlogger could hear the hunger strike and think ‘let’s see what’s on the menu,'” one user wrote on X.

Another user stated: “Vlog on food hunger strike? Sonam Wangchuk loses 7kg kar raha hai aur yeh ‘swad hai aa gaya’ bul raha hai. Protest site ko Zomato Bana diya.”

Meanwhile, comments under Sapra’s YouTube vlog remain positive, with many of his supporters praising the vlog for covering the CJP protest.

Sapra also spoke to Abhijit Debke, founder of the CJP, who stated that their demands will be a long struggle, but the youth and the CJP are “ready to fight for their rights.”

“We have forgotten how to ask questions,” Debke said. “Many students have committed suicide because they abandoned the system and that is why it is necessary to fight a battle to improve the system.”

“Call it a food review or whatever you want, but you actually went out and did it — it’s a big deal. You took that step; as a creator, you’ve just earned my respect,” one user wrote in the comments section.

“Food review sirf bahana terko bacho ko support karne jana hai, I did it diplomatically by giving it the name food review, soft criticism is the time it reaches everyone and we hope other YouTubers do too,” another user wrote.

Another praised the video, stating that even if it was foolproof, at least the protest at Jantar Mantar was covered.

Wangchuk’s hunger strike enters its eighteenth day

As the activist’s hunger strike enters the 18th day, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking immediate medical treatment and intervention to save the life of Sonam Wangchuk.

Wangchuk, who announced his support and support for the Cockroach Janta Party last month, has been on an indefinite hunger strike in Jantar Mantar since June 28.

The hunger strike comes as part of the CJP’s protest and demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over recent examination irregularities such as the NEET paper leakage case.

Many celebrities and influencers also announced their support for Wangchuk, while urging the climate activist to break his fast before his health condition deteriorates.
