Welcome to The Jungle slowed down on the 19th, collecting a net Rs 0.25 crore, taking India collections to Rs 130.85 crore and global total to Rs 188.58 crore. The film had a strong opening week, crossing Rs 90 crore. It stars Akshay Kumar as an actor who is mistaken for military assistance by a village fearing criminal Zatara (Jackie Shroff).

Akshay Kumar’s comedy Welcome to the Jungle was a hit at the box office on the third Tuesday. This slowdown came on the heels of a stronger weekend, making the weekday decline a somewhat predictable pattern.

However, the film’s overall run continues to hold up well, with global collections now approaching Rs 190 crore.

Welcome to Jungle Day Numbers #19

According to reports from Sacnilk, the film has collected a net collection of Rs 0.25 crore in India on day 19. With this, Welcome to The Jungle has reached the total India net collection of Rs 130.85 crore, with a domestic gross of Rs 155.48 crore. Welcome to a strong opening week for The Jungle

The film opened strongly, collecting a net collection of Rs 63.75 crore on the first day. By the end of the first week, it had crossed the Rs 90-crore mark, with the opening Sunday alone reaching a single-day peak of Rs 24.75 crore. The global total also crossed Rs 90 crore in the same period, with the first week closing at Rs 93.45 crore globally.

What is “Welcome to the Jungle” about?

The story revolves around Rajeev, played by Akshay Kumar, an actor trying to salvage his career after a series of failures. When a strange new project seems to offer him a chance for a revival, things head in an unexpected direction: a village mistakes his film crew for a real military unit, believing they have come to protect them from a fearsome criminal, Zatara, played by Jackie Shroff. No matter how many times Rajeev explains that he’s just an actor, he keeps getting drawn into one ridiculous situation after another, with the resulting confusion fueling much of the film’s comedy.
