According to a report published by TMZ on Monday, the meeting between Biden — the son of former Democratic President Joe Biden — and the white nationalist podcast host was brokered by Andrew Callahan, founder and host of the Gonzo video news series. Channel 5and took place in a hotel room in Philadelphia. The meeting of the two men, who have courted controversy in recent years, has been described as a no-holds-barred conversation where any topic is put on the table.
The conversation was friendly at first but quickly became tense as the men on opposite ends of the political spectrum moved on to different topics, the newspaper reported, citing “sources familiar with the situation.” Eventually, the tension turned into an argument, and it became so intense that Callahan had to intervene before the situation escalated into violence.
