Malayalam actor C Rajasekharan dies at his residence in Kottayam; Cause of death unknown
Veteran Malayalam actor Rajasekharan, popularly known as SI Rajasekharan for his memorable portrayal of police officers on screen, died on Sunday at his residence in Chengavanam in Kottayam district in Kerala.
The cause of his death was not revealed.A familiar face in Malayalam cinema and television, Rajasekharan is known for essaying the roles of sub-inspectors and police officials in several films, earning him the nickname ‘SI Rajasekharan’ among audiences and colleagues alike.
She has appeared in more than 100 films
According to reports, Rajasekharan appeared in more than 100 Malayalam films during his career. His notable credits include Sundarbham, Rajavent Makan, Vaziyorakazhakal, Nair Saab, Mudra and Seethurama Iyer CBI No. 1.

Rajasekharan was a regular presence in films directed by veteran director Joshi, with many of his detective roles becoming memorable among Malayalam film audiences.Mammootty, who shared screen space with Rajasekharan in several films, paid his last respects to the late actor through a heartfelt Facebook post.Rajasekharan’s departure marks the end of a career spanning decades, in which he carved a niche for himself with poignant supporting performances, particularly in the formal roles that became his signature on-screen.
