Sam Fender and Olivia Deen make history with ‘Rein Me In’

Sam Fender, who originally released the song for his third album, overdid the 1994 hit “Love Is All Over” by Wet Wet Wet, as well as “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” by Canadian singer Bryan Adams. Collaborating with the amazing singer Olivia Deen, the song topped the UK charts for 16 weeks, according to the BBC.The duet was released in June as a remix of its original song, marking Dean’s input. Claiming this as an excuse to celebrate, the 32-year-old said: “Olivia’s setting of the alternative narrative has made the song truly universal – which has opened the floodgates. There are two sides to the story. And it’s a cliche! It’s officially a buzz!”

Sam Fender and Olivia Dean: More broken records

The collaboration debuted in front of the public in early June during one of its concerts in London, and clips of their performance are still trending online. What’s more, the magical duo broke more records on Friday, achieving the longest consecutive run in the UK Top 40 and most weeks in the UK Top 10 for any non-Christmas song, according to the aforementioned outlet. The record-breaking streak will be complete if Olivia Deen and Sam Fender can spend 18 weeks at the top of the charts, a record currently held by Frankie Laine’s 1953 hit “I Believe.”
