The countdown has officially begun for the official trailer launch of ‘Ramayana’, one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious films.The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana have announced that the trailer of the highly anticipated film will premiere worldwide on July 24, 2026, marking the “beginning of the epic global journey”.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the team issued a statement which read: “For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations with its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, a new journey begins. One of Bharat’s greatest cultural epics, brought to the world, on a scale never before experienced in Indian cinema.”The announcement concluded by confirming, “The Ramayana premieres worldwide on July 24.”

This comes just days after Variety India announced that the film’s trailer will be released a week early in India, on July 18, at a major event in Delhi. However, now according to the latest update, Ranbir Kapoor’s global promo has been launched,

An official lineup of Comic-Con 2026 has shared that ‘Ramayana’ will be screened on July 23 (July 24 IST). The show is scheduled to take place at 3:15 p.m. in Ballroom 20, the second largest venue at San Diego Comic-Con, which seats about 4,800 attendees. The venue is second only to the conference’s iconic Hall H, and is traditionally reserved for some of the event’s largest studio presentations.
Ramayana movie cast and release date
The film has been shot as a two-part adaptation of the ancient Indian epic that not only features a star-studded ensemble, but also has a budget of over Rs 4,000 crore.In Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita, while Yash will play the role of Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, along with Adinath Kothar, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.“Ramayana: Part I” is scheduled to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, while “Ramayana: Part II” is scheduled to arrive in Diwali 2027.
