“The Zionist regime will not be safe”: Iran warns the United States and Israel vows revenge for the attacks

Iran warns the United States and Israel and threatens retaliatory attacks

Iran said it would respond to any attack on its infrastructure, including striking Israel. The head of Iran’s highest security body made this statement on Friday, as Tehran and Washington exchanged strong blows this week.Muhammad Baqir Zulqadr said in a statement broadcast on state television: “Any attack on infrastructure will be responded to, and the criminal Zionist regime responsible for these atrocities will not be safe from the response of our fighters.”This warning came after the US military carried out intensive strikes overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, saying it targeted 90 military sites. Iran also accused Washington of striking civilian infrastructure, including bridges and railway lines between Tehran and Mashhad, where the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was buried on Thursday.Iranian authorities say 17 people were killed in the US strikes.

Israel prepared to resume the campaign

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said that he spoke with US President Donald Trump on Thursday and informed him of the latest US movements in the Gulf. Iranian state media later reported a US-Israeli attack on a military headquarters near Bushehr, where Iran’s only civilian nuclear plant is located.Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel is ready to resume its military campaign against Iran if necessary, pledging to do so “with greater force.”

Meanwhile, an informed source told Reuters that Qatari negotiators are in Iran to meet with Iranian officials in an attempt to calm tensions and create conditions for the continuation of broader negotiations. The talks, which were held in coordination with the United States, aimed to address the implementation of the US-Iranian memorandum of understanding and disputes over navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
