“MobLand” sets a return date for Season 2 with Tom Hardy

MobLand is pulling Tom Hardy back for the second season of the Paramount+ series, set to debut September 18, it was announced Thursday.

But the British star’s future as Harry Da Souza for a potential Season 3 renewal is not yet official.

“In the second season of the Paramount+ original series MobLandthe Harrigans struggle to present a united front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire — and Harry Da Souza, a formidable, street-smart “broker,” must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions run high within the family. As violence spreads to every corner of their lives, loyalties are severed, safety becomes temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy.

It appears that Hardy’s continued role as Da Souza is still up in the air after his behavior in Season 2 has spooked producers. Hardy appears to have clashed with producers, including executive producer Jez Butterworth and others at David Glaser’s 101 Studios, the production company behind the film. MobLand It has not been officially renewed for a third season yet, and production is expected to resume later this year if it does. Hardy plays the middle man for the powerful organized crime family headed by Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, as two mob families clash in a war that threatens to bring down empires and lives.

MobLand Also stars Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Joan Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lara Pulver (Da Vinci’s Demons), Anson Boone (Pistol), Mandip Dillon (CSI: Vegas), Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy), Jeff Bell (Top Boy), Daniel Bates (Fate: The Winx Saga), Lisa Dwan (Blackshore) and Emily Barber (Industry).

MobLand Commissioned by Paramount+ and produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. The series is executive produced by David C. Glaser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Tom Hardy, Evan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hotkin, Bob Yari and Keith Cox.
