However, a series of exchanges involving a luxury watch, a chain and personal comments gradually raised tensions. The situation eventually got worse when Lil slapped Tjay Doherty on camera. Moments later, Doherty appeared to retaliate as security attempted to escort the rapper and his group off the property, leading to a chaotic scene that led to the broadcast abruptly ending.
A playful exchange between Lil Tjay and Jack Doherty takes a tense turn
At the beginning of the live broadcast, there was no indication that the interaction would end in a fight.
Lil Tjay and Jack Doherty were seen joking, laughing and talking casually in front of viewers.Part of their conversation centered around Doherty’s Richard Mille watch. Lil Tjay seemed interested in playing rock-paper-scissors for the hour, prompting Doherty to respond:“I don’t run a clock. Do you think I run a clock? 500! We’ll break even!… I love your music… Why would you even think about that?”
As the conversation continued, Doherty repeatedly tried to hug the rapper and placed his hands on Lil Tjay’s shoulder and neck.
Tjay seemed uncomfortable with the contact and pushed him away several times.“I don’t hug like that, bro. You play a lot of funny college games.”The rapper then jokingly suggested that they “smack the box” for the watch. Doherty responded by suggesting a real money boxing match instead. During the exchange, Doherty suggested that his Miami property was worth more than the rapper’s home. Lil Tjay reacted by grabbing Doherty’s hair and wrapping his arm around him while warning him to be quiet.“Quiet, good night, good night. I’m talking about my bed.”Shortly after Doherty pulled away and told the rapper, “I love you,” Lil Tjay slapped him in the face. The slap instantly changed the atmosphere.
Doherty seemed upset and warned Lil Tjay to stop. “Watch out. Stop, brother.
