Patrick J. Adams has outlined a detailed concept for a potential revival of the legal drama “Suits” that would bring back the original cast, including Meghan Markle’s character Rachel Zane.

The 44-year-old actor shared his pitch on social media on Friday, July 3, offering ideas on how to revive the beloved series through contemporary stories and the original cast.According to Adams’ plan shared on Instagram Stories, the revival will focus on a class-action lawsuit against an artificial intelligence company. “Mike [Ross, played by Adams] And Rachel [Zane, played by Meghan] “They’re working on a class-action lawsuit against an artificial intelligence giant when suddenly it’s threatened by revelations about years of past indiscretions and illegal maneuvers at Pearson Hardman,” he wrote, setting up the central conflict that would bring the characters together again as People reported.

Influencing original characters and storylines

Adams explained how the revival will affect various main characters from the original series.

“Harvey [Specter, played by Gabriel Macht] And Donna [Paulsen, played by Sarah Rafferty] Life can end before it really begins. Jessica [Pearson, played by Gina Torres] Political life can be cut off at the knees. Louis [Litt, played by Rick Hoffman] He can lose something he worked for a long time.

“.Company,” he wrote, detailing the risks for each character.

Creative elements and display possibilities

Adams included various creative ideas for the revival format. “I might throw in some skinny jokes and some classic bike-riding montages. Give Harvey and Donna a baby, then do spin-offs in different cities following different main characters,” he wrote, envisioning an expanded universe extending beyond the main revival project. He concluded his presentation with confidence about this concept. “It kind of writes itself. Let’s go. I’m ready,” Adams stated, expressing his excitement for bringing the show back.

Adams explains that he has no formal knowledge of the plans

In a follow-up post, Adams acknowledged that his offer was speculative and not based on inside information. “I don’t actually know anything about the reunion plans, as far as I can tell, the powers that be will be dropped after ‘Suits LA,'” he wrote in reference to the recently concluded spinoff series.Although there was no formal involvement in any revival plans, Adams expressed his reasons for proposing the concept. “But it seems weird not trying to get the band back together. The world is a corrupt cesspool and it would be fun to watch the band try to do the right thing in a world that is bent on all the wrong things. Anyway. I’m available.”

Background on the original series and its return to streaming

“Suits” originally follows Mike, who finds himself working in a law firm alongside some of the best lawyers in New York City including Harvey, Jessica and Louis.

Donna works as Harvey’s assistant, while Rachel begins the series as a paralegal. The series aired on the network between 2011 and 2019, and concluded its ninth season. The legal drama experienced a major renaissance when it became available on streaming platforms in the summer of 2023, reaching a whole new audience years after its conclusion. The show’s popularity on streaming has reached unprecedented levels, with the drama setting records for most-watched acquired acquired content nearly four years after the series ended, and accumulating billions of viewing minutes across streaming platforms during peak weeks.

The previous show and Adams’ continuing interest in the revival

A spinoff series titled “Suits: LA” was announced in February 2024 and launched on a major network. The series, which stars Stephen Amell as Los Angeles lawyer Ted Black, an old friend of Harvey’s character in the original series, ran for one season before being canceled in May 2025.Adams has previously expressed interest in reviving the original cast through different formats. In June 2024, Adams and several of the legal drama’s cast, including Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Abigail Spencer, and Amanda Schull, gathered at a television festival in Austin, Texas, to mark the fifth anniversary of the series’ conclusion.During that event, Adams was asked about the possibility of adapting the film theatrically, noting that other shows from the same network have been turned into cinematic projects. “It’s definitely something he’s interested in doing, trying to get the band back together. It would depend on a million things if that can happen,” Adams stated at the time. When pressed further on the feasibility, Adams expressed cautious optimism. “But is this possible? I think it is possible,” he concluded, noting that despite the obstacles, the renaissance project remains within the realm of possibility.
