Police said the deceased woman was staying with her family in Noida, Sector 29. Her husband had started a business after retiring from the Indian Air Force.

“We are scanning CCTV cameras to check movement inside the building. It is suspected that she jumped from the first or second floor of the six-storey multi-storey car park,” the officer said.

He added, “A team from Sector 20 police arrived at the scene and transferred the woman to a private hospital in Sector 27, where the doctor declared her dead upon arrival.”

Family members of the deceased woman also arrived at the scene while searching for her.

During the investigation, it came to light that the woman left her house without informing anyone and reached the multi-level parking lot of Sector 18. “It is suspected that she reached the parking lot using an e-rickshaw. However, we are yet to determine which floor she reached in the six-storey multi-level parking facility, as there are no CCTV cameras installed in the parking area. However, CCTV footage is being scanned from the surrounding area,” the officer said.

“In the preliminary investigation, the family revealed that she was suffering from depression and was also undergoing treatment for the past 20 years,” said Arvind Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 20.

Police said her body was sent for post-mortem examination, and investigations are still ongoing.
