The blue that Taylor Swift wore to her glitzy wedding to Travis Kelce on Friday is now the Empire State Building lit up in blue above the New York City skyline.

The glow-up came when the power couple tied the knot as part of a multi-day Madison Square Garden wedding celebration, said to run from Thursday night to Saturday morning. Before the event, the iconic Manhattan skyscraper said on its website that the light blue glow was “in celebration of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden.”

This continues the tradition of the Empire State Building and its Art Deco facade, which illuminates its tower to celebrate the city’s major events. That includes the tower and its LED lighting system that will glow red, white and blue on Saturday for the Fourth of July celebrations.

For Swift, the color blue is an homage to the old English rhyme, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, sixpence in your shoe,” which is meant to provide protection for the bride on her wedding day.

A giant lighting system also announced Swift and Kelsey’s marriage when a note appeared on a video screen on the outside of Madison Square Garden. The “JUST&T MARRIED” tag appeared shortly after 7:30 PM ET on Friday. The city has been buzzing for days in the run-up to the wedding, and several high-profile celebrities were spotted heading to MSG earlier on Friday.

The wedding itself took place at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, and the reception is scheduled to last until 4 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, according to a copy of the city permit obtained by the AP and details provided by police.
