No wedding day is complete without one thing – Adam Sandler? Well, maybe not every wedding day, but Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s big day certainly won’t be the case, as the comedian has stepped up to officiate the couple’s nuptials.
Swift and Kelsey officially tied the knot on Friday (July 3) at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Sandler was one of three people at the altar with the couple, who chose to forego their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Instead, Swift and Kelsey had their brothers, Austin Swift and Jason Kelsey, as Man of Honor and Best Man, respectively. The ceremony was attended by their families and a number of friends.
Both Swift and Kelsey wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture ensembles, designed by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior’s women’s, men’s and couture collections, in collaboration with the bride and groom. It represents Anderson’s first couture wedding dress. They each wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, which Swift has long been a fan of red bottoms on stage. She finished her look with Cartier jewelry.
Signs outside the square announced the couple’s marriage with pink banners reading “JUST & T MARRIED” — and the venue even posted a photo of the banners online, marking the first confirmation that their wedding had actually taken place. The city has been busy for days in the lead-up to the event, and several high-profile celebrities were spotted heading to MSG earlier in the day.
Shortly after the ceremony ended, the city was hit by heavy rain, perhaps a sign of good luck for the couple.
More to come.
