Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married, and speculation is mounting as to who the couple will be by their side as they walk down the aisle on their big day before the wedding. Swift and Kelsey officially tied the knot on Friday (July 3) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Many have speculated that Swift’s best friend, Abigail Anderson, who has been credited with her music since 2008, will be among the singer’s runners-up. This speculation grew even larger when Anderson was spotted leaving a New York City hotel wearing an ivory and maroon dress that Laura Crook, the fiancée of Kelce’s former Kansas City Chiefs teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster, was also seen wearing on her way to the ceremony at Madison Square Garden on Friday. There were a lot of names thrown around for Kelsey’s side as well.
reality? The couple didn’t have a traditional wedding and opted for something more personal. The groom had his brother, Jason Kelsey, as his best man, while the bride had her brother, Austin Swift, as her man of honor. The couple had the ceremony moderated by comedian Adam Sandler. The ceremony was attended by their families and a number of friends.
Both Swift and Kelsey wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture ensembles, designed by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior’s women’s, men’s and couture collections, in collaboration with the bride and groom. It represents Anderson’s first couture wedding dress. They each wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, which Swift has long been a fan of red bottoms on stage. She finished her look with Cartier jewelry.
Signs outside the square announced the couple’s marriage with pink banners reading “JUST & T MARRIED” — and the venue even posted a photo of the banners online, marking the first confirmation that their wedding had actually taken place. The city has been busy for days in the lead-up to the event, and several high-profile celebrities were spotted heading to MSG earlier in the day.
Shortly after the ceremony ended, the city was hit by heavy rain, perhaps a sign of good luck for the couple.
More to come.
