Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married.A representative for Swift confirmed to CNN that the pop icon married the NFL star on Friday evening. The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden in New York in front of about 1,000 guests.

Instead of having traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple chose family members for key roles. Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “man of honor,” while Kelsey’s brother, Jason Kelsey, served as his best man.The ceremony was moderated by actor Adam Sandler.Outside the venue, giant screens displayed the message “JUST&T MARRIED” in purple. The wedding came nearly two years into the couple’s widely followed relationship, which began in 2023.

Their romance has attracted global attention, with Swift’s fans closely following their journey.Although the party was held in one of the most famous places in New York, most of the details were kept secret. Fans gathered outside Madison Square Garden despite the scorching heat, hoping to catch a glimpse of the festivities. The police also imposed restrictions on traffic and pedestrians around the place.A statement obtained by The Associated Press earlier this week indicated that the wedding would take place during the Fourth of July weekend.

The statement also showed that celebrations could continue until 4 a.m.The ceremony was attended by many celebrities and sports stars, including Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Karlie Kloss, Kareem Hunt, Cooper Cobb, JoJo Smith-Schuster, Joe Buck, and author Jenny Hahn.Guests arrived in black SUVs wearing tuxedos and evening dresses. Reports stated that no cell phones were allowed inside the venue, and very few photos or videos emerged from the concert. The wedding took place over a busy weekend in New York, with Independence Day celebrations, a parade of tall ships on the Hudson River, and a World Cup soccer match also scheduled for nearby New Jersey.Earlier this week, Swift and Kelsey donated $26 million to 20 local and national charities across the United States. Several organizations are based in places closely associated with the couple, including Nashville, Los Angeles, Kansas City and New York.Outside the stadium, many fans celebrated the occasion.“We’re relatively the same age. I’m a year older than her and I just got married this year as well,” said New York resident Diana Warsawsky, who joined other Swift fans outside Madison Square Garden.“I’m so happy for her.”
