The dispute over the title of Shraddha Kapoor’s film has been settled after the director’s clarification
The controversy over Eetha’s title seems to have calmed down after director Laxman Utekar spoke to the family of legendary Lavani artist Vitthabai Narayangaonkar. In a conversation with NDTV, Mohit said, “Yes, definitely, we are satisfied. He spoke to us on phone. We requested to change the title of the film, but he explained that in rural areas, Vitthabai was earlier known as ‘Eetha’. That is why they chose this title for the film. We have no problem with it now.” He also spoke positively about how the film portrays the Tamasha and Lavani community, adding, “The film has been made in a very positive way.
It presents the Tamasha and Lavani community in a very positive light. We are satisfied. No problem.”
