Amid buzz that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent more than $20 million on their wedding celebrations, new reports indicate that the bride and groom donated $26 million to charity this week ahead of their nuptials on Friday at Madison Square Garden. The donations were reportedly distributed across 20 local and national charities, according to Swift’s publicist, with many of them located in areas where the couple has deep relationships. The announcement did not include any mention of Swift and Kelsey’s wedding, but a law enforcement official familiar with the security plans said the wedding would take place on Friday, with a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday night.Nine of the selected organizations are based in New York, ranging from Food Bank For NYC, City Harvest, to Musical Mentors, a nonprofit that connects music teachers with students in need. The amount each charity received was not disclosed.Other charities that reflected where Swift and Kelsey also called home included the Rhode Island Community Food Bank — where Swift has a property in Watch Hill — and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri — where Kelce plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Answer the Call took it upon themselves to share a statement that read: “We are extremely grateful to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their generous gift, helping us provide lifelong support to more than 500 families of fallen first responders in New York City.”
The memo continued as follows: “Their extraordinary donation will ensure we can continue to provide much-needed financial assistance to the families of fallen first responders in New York City. We thank them for their kindness and generosity and for keeping our collective promise to never forget. With their support, our families will continue to receive the care and help they need, and they will never have to walk this journey alone.”
“
A host of national groups also received money, including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book distribution program spearheaded by the music legend; American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Feed America.Shortly after news broke of the couple’s generous gift, the charities took to social media to post a note thanking the stars ahead of their wedding. Some organizations revealed in the memos that they had received donations ranging from $1 million to $2 million.Feeding America wrote: “Thank you @taylorswift13 and @tkelce for your generous gift of $2 million to Feeding America! Your support brings us all closer to a future where everyone has the food they need to thrive. So grateful to have partners like you in the movement to end hunger.”
The RI Food Bank also posted a note that read: “In honor of their wedding, @taylorswift13 and @tkelce have donated an extraordinary $1M to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank! We’re thrilled, because need in RI is at an all-time high.”
“The funds will help stock food items for our 137 member agencies.”
The large donations leading up to Swift and Kelsey’s wedding are reminiscent of the charitable gifts the couple has given in the past. Swift, a billionaire, gave millions to food banks before her stop on the Eras Tour, while Kelce was honored by bosses for winning “charity challenges” and running his own non-profit.Swift and Kelsey have been in a relationship since 2023, and have impressed millions around the world. Their relationship has been documented in countless shots of Swift partying at Chiefs games and fan videos of Kelce dancing on Swift’s Eras concert tour as she travels the world. In 2025, they announced their engagement with a caption but remained mum on wedding details. However, hype remained high around MSG in New York, with numerous trucks and crews coming in and out delivering materials for what is expected to be an elaborate event.
