The incident first came to light on Monday when the videos surfaced on WhatsApp. An FIR was registered at Marathahalli police station on Tuesday. Police said the daycare centre, located in the Brookfield area, primarily takes care of the children of Kipgemini employees, who leave their children there during work hours.

“An FIR has been registered against five female employees of the daycare center under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act. The accused are being interrogated. No arrests have been made so far. We are verifying the authenticity of the videos,” Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sedulu Adavat, said.

When contacted for a reaction, Capgemini said: “We are fully cooperating with the authorities. We are temporarily closing the day care facility within the Bengaluru campus.”
