Congress leader and three-term Lok Sabha MP Manish Tiwari has reacted sharply after he was excluded from party committees for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

“I wish I had an antidote to the insecurities of individuals and institutions!” On Thursday, Tiwari tweeted targeting his critics in the party. “A person who has a skill often has a great flaw,” he added in Hindi.
Tiwari said the Congress had given him enough over the past 45 years and he had dedicated his entire life to serving the party. “Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be…”
On Wednesday, Congress announced the election campaign, the official statement, and the election management and coordination committees. Tiwari does not appear in any of these paintings.
The Delhi Congress leader said Tiwari was excluded because he represents Chandigarh in the Lok Sabha, where the Congress has a separate unit.
A second leader said Tiwari was a member of Parliament from Anandpur Sahib and Ludhiana districts in Punjab. He pointed out that Tiwari was among one of the parliamentary delegations that traveled around the world in the wake of Operation Sindoor last year, even as the Congress tried to nominate other leaders.
Shashi Tharoor, who also defied the party line to support the government on foreign policy, was appointed co-chairman of the campaign committee in the run-up to this year’s Kerala elections, a third leader noted.
