Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding festivities may not be fully unfolding at Madison Square Garden after all. After the Associated Press confirmed that Taylor will officially marry her NFL sweetheart, Travis, this weekend at Madison Square Garden, a new report suggests the wedding and festivities may take place in two different locations.According to TMZ, the couple’s wedding is expected to take place elsewhere at a separate location on July 3, with a larger celebration featuring about 999 guests said to be held at Madison Square Garden. The report comes on the heels of comments made by celebrity memorabilia collector Anthony Gabin during an appearance on TMZ Live, where he revealed he had received an invitation to the couple’s wedding.“I’m going… I got an invitation,” Jabin said. When asked what the invite revealed about the event, Jabin declined to reveal specific details, but continued, “Well, I’m not allowed to reveal it, but it’s not what everyone thinks. It’s a bit of a surprise. They don’t want people to really know where it is.”While the newspaper previously reported that the reception will be held at Madison Square Garden, Jabin confirmed that the ceremony, in which the couple will say “I do,” will not take place at the famous New York venue.
Jabin also shared that he received an invitation from Swift herself and revealed their relationship. “She was at the Super Bowl when I met her. She’s really nice and a great person,” he said.Although Jabin has not confirmed whether the wedding will take place elsewhere in New York City, TMZ noted that it seems likely given the announced schedule of events, with cocktail hour said to begin at 4 p.m. ET.Winick Productions, the company that produces red carpet events for Grammy and Tony awards shows and movie premieres, has also applied for a permit to set up a canopy or tent outside the park for an event of up to 999 people.New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Wednesday declined to confirm that Swift and Kelsey’s wedding will take place Friday at MSG but said her department will have the appropriate resources at each major event over the weekend.“I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the event we’re watching at Madison Square Garden on Friday night,” Tisch said. “The NYPD will, of course, have details, but I will not go into further detail on that at this time.”A law enforcement official familiar with the security plans told the AP that the wedding will take place on Friday, with a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday night. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the events publicly.
