The incident occurred about an hour and 25 minutes into Emily’s live broadcast. As she was turning, a Mazda SUV approached from the opposite direction.
Emily seemed distracted by her phone and didn’t seem to notice the other car right away.
Just before the two cars collided, she quickly moved her car away. The other driver also honked his horn, which seemed to alert her at the right time. Fortunately, both cars escaped an accident.Emily addressed the incident immediately instead of ignoring it. She admitted that she had made a mistake and apologized to everyone who watched it.
“Oh, sorry! That was bad! That was bad. I have to check my… shouts!” she said during the stream. She also thanked the other driver for honking the horn, saying it helped prevent a more dangerous situation.Emily later explained that she had been using Tesla’s Autopilot before the accident. According to her, she had just turned the feature off moments before the close call. She added that she usually drives with autopilot enabled and said they were almost at their destination.

The viral clip also reminded many viewers of a similar incident that occurred last year. In April 2025, Emily faced backlash after another IRL stream surfaced showing her running a red light while looking at her phone. This earlier clip quickly spread across the internet and led to Twitch suspending her channel the next day. Following the suspension, Emily confirmed on Discord that she had received a one-day ban for distracted driving during the live stream. The latest incident once again sparked controversy on social media. Some people agreed with Emily as she immediately apologized for her mistake, but others claimed that even if the car isn’t using Autopilot, live streaming while driving could still be dangerous.Fortunately, in this latest case, no one was hurt, and no damage was caused to the car. But again, the viewer’s attention was turned towards road safety issues.
