Acasa Air said heavy rainfall in Mumbai could lead to delays across its network and urged passengers to check the status of their flights before departing for the airport.

“Due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai, some flights across our network may be delayed. We realize that this may disrupt your travel plans and ask for your patience and understanding. While this situation is completely out of our control, please be assured that our teams are always ready to assist you,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline advised travelers to check the latest status of their flights before starting travel to the airport.

Meanwhile, SpiceJet also said that adverse weather conditions in Dharamshala could impact all incoming, outgoing and onward flights.

“Due to inclement weather conditions in Dharamshala (DHM), all departures/arrivals and onward flights may be affected. Passengers are requested to check the status of their flights,” the airline said.

SpiceJet has asked passengers to check their flight status before traveling to the airport.

Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecast a significant increase in rainfall activity across Himachal Pradesh in the coming days as the southwest monsoon advances in the region.

The administration expected light to moderate rain, accompanied by scattered thunderstorms and snowfall in the upper areas, until June 30. Rainfall activity is likely to become more widespread during the latter part of the forecast period, with heavy rainfall expected over isolated areas.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi districts throughout the week.

According to IMD, light to moderate rain is very likely at isolated places in Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted that Madhya Maharashtra will witness heavy rains between June 25 and 27 and again on June 30.
