Cara Delevingne spoke about her romantic relationship with Amber Heard in a new episode of her show Louis Theroux Podcast.
Speaking to the British broadcaster about the latest episode, which aired on Monday in the US, Theroux asked the showrunner – who will star in Jordan Firstman’s next film at Cannes? Kid Club – About the “Johnny Depp issue,” referring to rumors that Delevingne was involved with Heard while the latter was divorcing the A-list actor.
Theroux tells Delevingne that Depp was “driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you,” to which she replies: “Was I supposed to comment? It’s because we made a movie together, and it was called London fields. He was doing film too. I think he was very driven by jealousy. Nothing happened at that point. Later, after their divorce, it happened, I think.
Theroux then asks for clarification on what that means. Delevingne answers that she and Heard “were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were intertwined…but she was also intertwined with other people.” When Theroux says, “Okay, with Elon [Musk]“There you are,” Delevingne replies.
Heard was in a relationship with Musk, the billionaire and founder of Space She has not starred in a film since.
Delevingne and Theroux cover a wide range of topics throughout the episode, including her reservations about marriage after her engagement, as well as her taking disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s comments “seriously.”
“Harvey Weinstein called me and said, ‘Are you gay?’” Delevingne recalls. “And I was like, ‘Um, what do you mean?’ “And he was like, ‘You should never be in a relationship with a woman… You’ll never make it in this industry if people think you’re gay.'” “And I really believed him, and I took that seriously.”
Delevingne, who is gay, told Theroux about her sexuality: “Well, now I look back, it was very obvious at a young age. I knew it, like, 11 years old. I had one friend who I was like, ‘Oh, I think I care about her more than she likes me, and I don’t know how, but I do it.'” It was obvious now, but it wasn’t really, and I’m very proud of him now.
“I think when I started talking about it and opening up about it, I felt like there was still a lot to fight for at that point in terms of shows about gay people and people looking up to younger kids.”
Delevingne became famous as a model and Victoria’s Secret star before turning to acting with roles in it Paper cities, Suicide squad and American Horror Story.
