A man in Faridabad allegedly died by suicide on Sunday after posting a video on Instagram in which he accused his wife and her parents of physical assault and mental harassment.

The deceased, a resident of Faridabad Housing Board Sector 3, died after hanging himself in the clothing shop he owned.
In a video clip posted on the social networking site before his death, the man said that he was committing suicide because of his wife, her sister, and his parents, and accused them of physical and mental harassment.
“These people have upset me a lot. It has been two years since I got married. In these two years, they made me very sad,” the man said in the video.
He added, “I sweep the house, mop the floors, and wash the dishes. After all this, she remains opposed to me. She does not care about my family… Her fights do not stop.”
A case has been registered against eight people, including the wife and her parents, at Sector 8 police station in Faridabad on charges of abetment to suicide, police said.
Discussing suicides can be triggering for some. However, suicides can be prevented. If you need support or know someone who does, please contact your nearest mental health professional.
