David Letterman is set to make his debut at Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival next month alongside Canadian comedian Will Arnett.

His first-ever appearance at the Montreal festival follows Letterman’s return in February 2026 to perform in Canada for the first time in 48 years with the Just For Laughs Vancouver festival premiere where he interviewed guest star Zach Galifianakis. Before that, Letterman last performed a routine in Canada before giving an interview on the variety show 90 Minutes Live in February 1978 on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the country’s public broadcaster.

In Montreal, Arnett is expected to speak with Letterman about his star role in the Bradley Cooper film Is this thing running?which he co-wrote and starred alongside Laura Dern as a comedic actress who appears on the comedy club stages of divorce therapy and a journey of self-discovery.

Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival 2026 previously announced appearances by Jerry Seinfeld, Weird Al Yankovic, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Atsuko Okatsuka, Jerry Dee, Lucy Darling, Joel Kim Booster and Mae Martin.
