Ketan Vishal Agarwal’s Pune-based real estate broker’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, was taken to Lohagad Fort on Sunday to recreate the sequence of events that led to Agarwal’s alleged murder on June 18, police said.
“The police have reconstructed the entire chain of events, including the route taken by the accused, their locations at the scene, the actions allegedly carried out and the manner in which the accident took place,” Pune Rural Police Superintendent Sandeep Singh Gill said.
“While the sequence of events was recreated, Sia provided details about the route they took, their locations and how the accident occurred,” Gill added.
Deputy Inspector of Police Gajanan Tumbe said the police also made a dummy of the same weight as Ketan to reconstruct the accident scene.

Police officers said the exercise was conducted to verify the allegations of the accused regarding the manner in which Agarwal was allegedly thrown out of the fort. Investigators are studying the exact circumstances that led to the death and the role played by the two accused.
Agarwal (25) was a director in his family’s company, Success Group, which is one of the largest warehouse developers in Maharashtra. In February this year, he got engaged to Siya Goyal, 20, with his uncle acting as matchmaker, and the two were due to get married in November, with hotels in Udaipur booked. Goyal also hails from a wealthy business family in Pune. But Agarwal’s family did not know that she was in love with Chetan Chaudhary, 22.
Ketan died on June 18 after falling from Lohagad Fort. The police arrested Siya and Chetan on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy under Sections 103 and 61 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
During investigation, police said Sia told them that she did not want to marry Agarwal and that she planned the crime with Chetan because she feared that canceling the wedding would damage her family’s reputation.

A senior police officer said the investigation is also focusing on the alleged planning of the crime, the movements of the accused before and after the incident, their digital trail, and the motive behind the murder.
The police are also verifying various evidence collected during the investigation as part of the investigation into the case.
