The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday shared a clip of actor Sunil Shetty praising the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi in an interview.

In an interview with The Times Network, Shetty said his 15-month-old granddaughter “loves” Prime Minister Modi, and recounted an incident that included a photo of the Prime Minister. The BJP also shared the clip of Shetty’s interview.
“Actor Sunil Shetty shared this touching incident about his 15-month-old granddaughter while praising PM Modi. Listen,” the ruling party at the Center wrote on its X website.
Sunil Shetty had said that he loves Prime Minister Modi as much as he loves the country, adding that there is something “magical about this man”.
“As much as I love my country, I love Prime Minister Modi. There is something about him. You won’t believe it, my granddaughter is 15 months old. Once, at the airport, one of her nannies told her about Modi ji. Now, every morning, she opens Sai Baba’s book which has a picture of Prime Minister Modi, goes to the Ganpati statue, takes an imaginary ladoo from there, and offers it to the picture. No one asked her to do that. There is something about him,” he said in part of the conversation. There is something magical.”
The clip went viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions: some praised Shetty for his remarks, while others criticized the actor.
Prime Minister Modi in Seychelles
In a separate development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seychelles on Saturday On a three-day official visit, during which he will hold talks with President Patrick Herminie and attend the archipelago nation’s Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations.
At Seychelles International Airport, Modi received a grand reception from Herminie and a high-level delegation. He also received an honorary guard of honor.
“I have landed in Seychelles. I greatly appreciate the warm welcome given by Dr. Patrick Herminie at the airport,” Modi said on X.
“Seychelles is an important maritime partner and close friend in the Indian Ocean. We look forward to a fruitful visit aimed at strengthening our long-term relations and enhancing cooperation for the benefit of our two peoples,” he said.
The Prime Minister, who is visiting the country at the invitation of President Herminie, will participate in the National Day celebrations as a guest of honour. According to what PTI reported, officials said, a contingent of the Indian Armed Forces, along with two ships from the Indian Navy, will participate in the celebrations.
The two sides are expected to review the full scope of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest. Modi will also address the National Assembly of Seychelles and interact with members of the Indian diaspora.
