Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday launched an attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for “stealing MPs” and “donations to Ram temple in Ayodhya”.

“Earlier, they used to steal MPs and opposition MPs. Now they have stolen the money meant for the Ram temple,” he added.
He began his three-day tour on Friday in the Lok Sabha constituencies of defecting MPs from Yavatmal, a constituency represented by defecting MP Sanjay Deshmukh. Thackeray accused Deshmukh of betraying the mandate after he was elected against the BJP-led alliance.
“Switching parties after his election has become a business now. These are traitors. They won the elections by defeating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s candidates and later changed sides. Not only traitors, the BJP too is responsible for this,” he said. He said.

He claimed that the BJP had captured Lord Ram politically and announced that his party would soon launch a campaign to “liberate Lord Ram” from the ruling party. “Lord Ram is in BJP jail. We need BJP-Mukta Ram and the party will soon launch a movement for this,” he said.
Thackeray said the organization remained strong because of the loyalty of party workers at the grassroots level. He also apologized for choosing the wrong man – Sanjay Deshmukh for the Lok Sabha elections.
“As long as the Shiv Sena stands with me, no one will be able to eliminate Thackeray and the Shiv Sena. I will not give up, I will fight,” he said.
