Days after the alleged murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, a man from the rescue team that recovered the body of the deceased said they found him with a crushed skull and several bruises on his limbs.

“On reaching Lohagad Fort, we discovered a deceased boy with severe head injuries, including crushed skull and multiple bruises on his limbs. He died,” Sunil Gaikwad told news agency ANI.
25-year-old Ketan Agarwal died after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. After his death, his fiancée Sia Goyal, 22, and her lover Chetan Choudhary, 25, were accused of plotting to kill him.
Recalling the moments when people were trying to recover Ketan’s body, Gaikwad claimed that while many other people were in panic mode, Sia “seemed calm”. “…It is worth noting that Siya was present during the retrieval process but appeared calm and overtly unemotional, unlike the other onlookers who were extremely distressed,” he told ANI. Gaikwad said the rescuers had to carry the body of the deceased through the forest and faced difficulty in lifting the body up the steep slope.

“…the police station received the call at 10.30 am, the operation continued till 12.30 pm and (we) handed over the body to the ambulance at 1.30 pm…” Gaikwad added.
The accused deleted chat history and recycling bins before and after the crime
Even as the investigation into the matter progressed, with the accused and family members being interrogated, the police said that both Sia and Chetan had erased the entire history of their phone conversations and recycling bins before and after the crime.
“During our investigation, it was revealed that both the accused deleted their chats before June 18 and after the Lohagad incident from their phones. The chats were deleted from the recycle bins of their phones,” a police officer, who is part of the investigation team, told news agency PTI. The investigation by the Pune Rural Police indicated that the accused, Sia and Chetan, were in touch for about six months before the incident and exchanged 2,004 phone calls, according to PTI.

It is also alleged that they met at a cafe on the day of the crime to finalize the murder plot, and planned the exact location in Lohagad Fort where Agarwal would be paid. Sia’s brother, Sahil, who reportedly introduced her to Chetan, is also being questioned by the cops. Sahil, who was interrogated for over 10 hours on Friday, told the cops that he had known about Sia’s relationship with Chetan for several months and urged her to end the relationship as she was engaged to Ketan, police said.
