The famous actress and singer died Wednesday, KABC’s George Pennacchio confirmed. He took to his Facebook account to share a post paying tribute to the veteran star, sharing how much of an impact she has made in the industry. “She was just 16 when she was nominated for an Oscar! Actress Anne Blythe died peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday at the age of 98, less than two months before her 99th birthday,” he wrote.
“He detailed her career in his post, sharing how she was one of the youngest successful stars of her time, and that she dabbled in a little bit of every stream of media, including radio and Broadway. He also added: “Anne was active in philanthropy and volunteered for many causes. Her family says she loved her garden, knitting and oil painting. She was known for gifting her work to friends and family.” He also mentioned how often Blythe replies to fan mail, and that she loves interacting with people.

She started as a child actress at a radio station. She later moved to Broadway after making her stage debut in Watch on the Rhine in 1941. 3 years later, in 1944, she finally made her film debut and appeared on the big screen in Chip Off the Old Block.Over the years, she has worked with a lot of big stars and has become a rising force on her own as well.
