in The lion is at my backDirector Tonia Mishaili tells a cinematic story about an unexpected relationship. Mariama, a Senegalese asylum seeker in Cyprus, has just turned 18 years old. She meets Stella, who is in her forties and recently decided to break free from the clutches of addiction and make a new beginning.
