Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday accused Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, of misleading the youth, especially NEET aspirants.

The Education Minister’s remarks come amid a row among the NEET UG, with the opposition calling for the resignation of the BJP leader over the alleged paper leak.
Speaking to CNN-News18, the Education Minister said that Rahul Gandhi and the opposition are “creating fear in the minds of the youth”.
“Rahul Gandhi has misled NEET aspirants. Do not mislead and create fear in the minds of the new generation. We all have a responsibility towards them,” Pradhan said.
“I do not want to indulge in politics when it comes to the future of students, but the opposition’s decision to hold a rally in Kota just days before the exam was not appropriate,” he added.

Adding to the issue of the NEET row, the union education minister added that three students in Karnataka could not reach their examination centers due to a rally organized by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Bengaluru.
“Three students could not take the NEET exam due to a gathering that took place. He later apologized to them. How can Congress lecture us on this issue?” asked the minister.
He also commented on the Cockroach Janta Party movement, describing the online outfit as “Rahul Gandhi’s B-Team”.
Earlier this week, Pradhan spoke to NDTV regarding the NEET paper leak class, where he stated that “protectors have turned into predators”.
The teachers entrusted with their responsibilities by the National Testing Agency (NTA) have failed to carry out their duties properly, the BJP leader said.
“NTA has placed its trust in some teachers, but some of them have not fulfilled their responsibility. Rakshak hi bhakshakban gaye (The protectors turn themselves into predators),” he told NDTV.
