Reason #1: Amazon acquired premium online retailer Shopbop in 2006, which now runs its own Prime Day sale (both on Amazon’s storefront and its own website).
Reason #2: Amazon launched its Luxury Marketplace in 2020, a curated, premium storefront offering a mix of the season’s newest books and pre-loved luxury from partner shipping platforms like Rebag and What Goesaround Comesaround. It also runs a crossover event to provide luxury stores.
