Popular UPSC teacher Vijender Chauhan, whose mock interview clip including the phrase “baithne ka tareeka thoda kezual hai” recently became a viral meme, has announced that he will join the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Chouhan is among several teachers expected to join CJP founder Abhijit Debaki in the protest on Wednesday. Other names announced by the organizers include teacher and author Abhinay Sharma, known as Abhinay Maths, and Vikramjit Sir, also known as Reasoning Guru.
Chauhan announces a visit to the protest site
In a video message shared by the CJP’s ‘Cockroach Returns’ account, Chouhan said he has been raising concerns about the state of education for years.
“Friends, I am Vijendra Chauhan. To those in power, I may sometimes appear to be a worthless teacher, and at other times a cockroach,” he said at the beginning of the letter.
Referring to the issues in the education sector, Chouhan said: “You know that for many years we have been constantly talking about the deteriorating state of education – about what kind of budgetary support education should get, the importance it deserves, how the integrity of examinations should be maintained.”
Concerns about education are now receiving wider attention in the public sphere, Chauhan said.
“But now, for the first time, a situation seems to be emerging where this discussion has become central to our public discourse. Members of the opposition are talking about it. Even those in power are having to address it,” he added.
He also referred to the ongoing demonstration at Jantar Mantar, saying, “As you know, an ongoing protest is being organized at Jantar Mantar by the CJP. This is in relation to the NEET paper leakage issue and other issues being discussed in the context of education.”
Public lecture planned at Jantar Mantar
Inviting people to attend the event, Chouhan said he would visit the protest site on June 24 at 5 pm and talk about issues related to education.
“As part of a public lecture, I will visit the protest site tomorrow, June 24 at 5:00 pm, where I will present my views on NEET paper leak, decline in education system, and related issues,” he said.
“I hope you will be there too. There will be dialogue and opportunity to interact with you. It would be great to meet you. So, please join us on June 24 at the Jantar Mantar protest site, at the CJP protest site, for the public lecture.”
The Justice and Development Party protests enter their fifth day
The CJP continued its protest sit-in at Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged NEET-UG papers leak and examination-related irregularities.
On Tuesday, the demonstrators organized a “diaper donation drive” as part of their campaign. The organization said that the protest will continue until Pradhan’s resignation.
The sit-in began on Saturday and attracted students, competitive exam aspirants and members of several student organisations.
