While talking about taking part in the show, Kingston actor Romy Southwick, who plays Evan Loftis, dropped some teaser details about what fans can expect in the future.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor talked about working on the Katie Dippold series and what the series has in store for its future season. Specifically, while speaking about his character’s future, Southwick added, “I’m really excited about not only the mischief he’s getting into, but also the levels he can reach.”Along with this, he also shared that “This is a good way for me personally as an actor to lighten it up. I think for season 2, there are a lot of opportunities for Evan to be in a very crazy and funny situation.” He shared his excitement about the supernatural comic and what the future will hold for fans.

The actor also praised the show for its concept, noting that comedy is a difficult genre to deal with these days.
He added: “What Widow’s Bay did really well was take those horror tropes and make them [them] Its own. “It’s a very original idea.”He also shared that working on the show has been “a lot of fun” and that he is really happy to see so many people reaching out to him and watching it with full enthusiasm. “I remember reading it for the first time and saying, ‘I love this,'” he also joked about his first reaction when he got the role and script.

The story revolves around Widow’s Bay, a fictional town that the city’s new mayor, Tom Loftis, is trying to turn into the next big “Martha’s Vineyard.” However, when he ignores the warnings of the residents and continues with his actions, supernatural things begin to go wrong due to an ancient curse plaguing the town.The Season 1 finale revealed important details about the show’s main character, played by Matthew Rhys. Tom Loftis, it is revealed that he has a connection to the city’s founding father, the mysterious Richard Warren, who is also responsible for the curse that has befallen the city. Season 2 is said to explore more into this story and how the Mayor will deal with everything, including his past, without letting his family and the city be torn in half.
