Reviews of “Balan: The Boy”.

According to ET Times, the film received a 3.0% rating from critics and viewers.

The review says: “Although the film has its share of tense moments, the emotions remain surprisingly muted. Especially in the climax, although the resolution is interesting, the lack of a stronger emotional build-up prevents it from reaching its full potential. The right emotional beats could have lifted the film to another level, but the ending feels rather disappointing.”

While the first part was highly praised for its “fresh idea, multi-layered storytelling, and excellent performances”, the second half supposedly fell short of the mark.

The review also added, “However, there are also some annoying holes in the screenplay and some blatant descriptions that seem at odds with the rest of the film. While Farzana Palthingal’s restrained performance does well in conveying her character’s ambiguity and troubles, the screenplay fails her when it comes to conveying emotions.”

Balan: The Boy stars Farzana Balathingale, Chandu Salimkumar, Girish AD, Jean-Paul Lal, Ganapathi, Beena Antony and many more.Disclaimer: The box office numbers and data contained in this article are compiled from various public and industry sources.
