A birthday surprise that was planned over a month. Luxury convertible car decorated with flowers. A romantic dinner where he got down on one knee. And an emotional tribute on Instagram after his death.
These are among the horrific details that have emerged in the final weeks of the life of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, after police arrested his fiancée, Siya Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, 22, for his murder.
Videos that have emerged since the arrests show Ketan Agarwal, 25, organizing an elaborate birthday celebration for Sia ahead of her 20th birthday on June 19. In one of the clips, he presented her with a bouquet of flowers inside a convertible car decorated with flowers. The couple, who got engaged in February, were scheduled to marry in November. Their families had already booked a palace in Udaipur for the wedding and preparations were underway for pre-wedding events.

The videos, which were widely circulated on social media, capture some of the couple’s last public moments before Ketan’s death.
Instagram posts after death
After Ketan’s death on June 18, when the condition was still being treated as an accidental fall during a trek at Lohagad Fort near Lonavala, Siya shared an emotional tribute to him on Instagram.
The post read: “You left me on my birthday. You left when we were so close to getting married. I still can’t understand why you did this to me. I had dreams and questions that I will never get answers to. Why did you leave me when I loved you so much? Rest in peace.”
The post had a caption in Hindi: “Mere dil ko pata hai ki tu yahi hai. Wapas aaja” (My heart knows you are here. Come back.)
The post has since drawn attention after police alleged that Goyal and Chaudhary conspired to kill Agarwal and confessed to committing the crime.
Lohagad murder investigation
Agarwal, the manager of his family’s real estate business, died after falling nearly 400 feet into a gorge in Lohagad Fort on June 18. The incident was initially registered as accidental death after Goyal told police that he slipped while taking photographs near the edge of the fort.
The investigation took a later development after the police examined call logs, CCTV footage and digital evidence. Investigators alleged that Sia and Chetan, who had been in a relationship for more than a year, conspired to kill Ketan because they saw him as an obstacle to their future together.
The police said that the two accused confessed to the murder during interrogation. Investigators also claimed that the couple had made an earlier attempt to kill Ketan at the same fort on June 14, but failed.

Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agarwal, said his son had previously expressed concerns about Goyal’s behavior and raised doubts about her relationship with Chaudhary.
The accused have been booked for murder and criminal conspiracy under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
