Ram Charan praised Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar as a “wonderful, wonderful, wonderful” cinematic experience and attributed its massive success to the way it was embraced by audiences across India.The actor spoke about the blockbuster series during his appearance at Republic Summit, where he revealed that he recently watched Dhurandhar on the OTT platform.

“He brought the country together.”

Sharing his thoughts on the film, Ram Charan said, “It’s a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful film. It has put everything in place in the right way and at the right pace.”He stressed the importance of films that promote national unity.“Should we release more films like this? Of course. National integrity, like India first, is very important in our upcoming films. It has brought the country together,” he added.

Box office numbers reflect audience acceptance

Ram Charan also commented on the film’s massive success at the box office, saying that the collections reflect the audience’s love for the film.“The film has become the highest grosser, earning over Rs 1,800 crore. Why is this happening? The box office number is nothing but the number of people who accepted it, the number of attendance in theaters is what matters,” he said.

According to the actor, audience support is the biggest measure of a film’s success.“If the people of India have it and want this to happen, then why not? It is good for our nation,” he added.

Dhurandhar’s record-breaking career

Released in December 2025, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and titled Ranveer Singh, grossed over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide.The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, hit theaters in March this year and went on to earn over Rs 1,800 crore globally. The film emerged as the second highest grossing Indian film of all time after Dangal.Both the films are currently available for streaming on Netflix and JioHotstar.
