A British husband admits to raping his wife.
A British man accused of conspiring with others to drug and rape his wife has admitted to a number of sex crimes, but continues to deny several other charges linked to the case.The defendant, a man in his 60s from the Stockport area of Greater Manchester, appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to raping and sexually assaulting his wife between 2022 and 2025.
He also admitted to sharing intimate photos and videos of her without her consent during the same period, the BBC reported.The court heard that the man conspired with others to drug and rape his wife. While he accepted responsibility for some of the crimes, he pleaded not guilty to several other charges he faces.Before the session began, the accused was seen crying in the dock. He later spoke clearly and calmly when making his pleas. His name has not been revealed because his wife is the alleged victim of sex crimes and is entitled to anonymity for life under UK law. The case also includes 13 other men accused. Twelve of them pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.The trial is scheduled to begin on September 1.
