Meet Aisha Amir: An Indian woman who won a free studio apartment in Dubai

A 27-year-old Indian woman, resident of Dubai, won a free studio apartment in a city-wide shopping promotion.Ayesha Amir, originally from Kerala, was announced as the first winner of the ‘Win Your Home in Dubai’ campaign, bagging a studio apartment provided by Binghatti Real Estate Development Company.

The initiative is organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and Dubai Chambers, reported Khaleej Times. The campaign allows shoppers to enter the draw by spending a minimum of 500 dirhams at participating outlets and scanning the QR code associated with the purchase.Amira said that she entered the draw after her husband encouraged her to participate when they saw advertisements in a shopping center and on social media.“I saw the ads in the mall and online, but it was my husband who told me to try my luck,” she told Khaleej Times. “We just thought, why not try it?”She later received a phone call telling her she had won, but at first she found it difficult to believe it.“At first, I thought it might be a scam call,” she said. “I couldn’t believe something like this could actually happen to me. It only felt real after I received the official confirmation email.”Amira got married last year and was planning to buy a house with her husband. These plans were put on hold earlier this year due to uncertainty related to regional tensions.“This came at the right time for us,” she said. “We were thinking about buying a house, but decided to wait because of the situation earlier this year.

Winning this apartment feels like a blessing.Amir holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Christ University, Bangalore.According to her LinkedIn profile, Amira currently works as a business consultant at Sharjah Media City (Shams), where she advises companies and entrepreneurs. She also serves as the Sales Team Leader for the SRTIP Accelerator.Earlier, she worked with Commitbiz Business Setup Consultants in Dubai, where she helped clients with company set-up and organizational processes. Before moving to the UAE, she worked as a Business Development Manager in Bengaluru, India.
