At the time of publication, neither Peacock nor Love Island in the USA Production confirmed whether Alannah had been fired from the show, but fans began calling for her to be fired immediately after screenshots of her past racist comments spread online.
In response to an Instagram carousel post shared by the show, commenters weighed in on Alannah’s casting.
“The fact that she hasn’t kissed any black men is obvious,” one user noted. “Alana needs to be removed from the villa. TODAY! Using racist slurs with the ER is unacceptable, I said what I said,” another chimed in.
