Online animator Vivian Medrano, also known as “VivziePop”, is the creator of the musical series Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss — both of which started on YouTube before moving to Amazon Prime Video — and she has signed on to write and direct her first theatrical feature, Prehistoric timesfor Warner Bros. Animation pictures.

“Since I began my journey in animation, my biggest dream has been to be a part of a feature film,” Medrano said in a statement. “Now, creating an original story I’ve treasured for years with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, a studio whose characters and stories have been a huge part of my life, is truly a dream come true. I’m so excited to share this Fossil fantasy world with everyone!”
The president of Warner Bros. announced Pictures Animation’s Bill Damaszke explained about the project in a presentation at the Annecy International Animation Festival on Monday. He presented the deal as evidence of the WBPA’s strategy to collaborate with online content creators who have strong direct relationships with fans to engage new audiences.
