Allu Arjun’s lawyers move Hyderabad court seeking permission for virtual appearance in ‘Pushpa 2’ stampede case
‘Pushpa’ actor Allu Arjun is set to miss the latest hearing in the Sandhya theater stampede case. As per the latest reports, the actor will not be physically present before the Nampally court in Hyderabad during the scheduled proceedings.
Reports from India Today suggest that Allu Arjun’s legal representatives are expected to attend the hearing on his behalf. Reports also indicate that a request has been made seeking permission for the actor to participate virtually instead of appearing in person.
The case is linked to the Pushpa 2 premiere tragedy
The issue relates to the tragic incident that occurred during a special screening of the film ‘Pushpa 2’ in Hyderabad in December 2024. The event attracted a huge crowd leading to serious law and order concerns outside the theater building.
Reports indicate that the court ordered several defendants, including the actor, to appear before it in the ongoing session.The incident took place at Sandhya Theater in Chikkadpally when large numbers of people gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor during a special show. During the ensuing chaos, a woman lost her life. Her young son was also seriously injured and required extensive medical treatment.
Following the incident, the actor was detained as part of the investigation before later obtaining legal compensation through the courts. The matter has remained under judicial consideration since then. According to reports, Allu Arjun has been named as the 11th accused in the case. Financial support was reportedly provided to the affected family.

Allu Arjun recently gained appreciation for his touching interaction with a young girl named Shraddha, who is undergoing treatment for leukemia.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation facilitated the meeting. During the interaction, the actor spent time with the child and recreated memorable moments from the movie Pushpa: The Rise.Sharing a video of the meeting, a fan page wrote: “The smile-spreading star behind cinema icon @alluarjun interacted with Shraddha through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, creating a joyful and unforgettable moment for the little girl. A gesture that reflects his genuine warmth and compassion.”
