The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Sunday started releasing post-result services results for Class 12, declaring the results of nearly 1,47,000 students – about 87% of about 1,68,000 candidates who had applied for mark verification and re-evaluation after the board’s results were announced on May 13.

According to CBSE, the revised marksheets are being made available through DigiLocker and the remaining cases will be processed in a phased manner over the next few days.
“Out of the 1,68,000 Class 12 CBSE students who sought mark verification and re-evaluation, the results of nearly 1,47,000 students have been declared, representing around 87% of applicants. We expect the remaining results to be announced in the next two days,” a senior education department official said.
CBSE announced Class 12 results on May 13 for around 1.77 lakh candidates with an overall pass percentage of 85.20%, down 3.19 percentage points from last year’s 88.39% and the lowest in seven years since 83.40% in 2019. Students were allowed to have scanned copies of answer books assessed between May 19 and May 25, after which requests to check marks and retake Evaluations were accepted from June 2 to 7.
According to board data, over 400,000 students had earlier applied for 1.1 million scanned copies of answer sheets. More than 160,000 students submitted applications with more than 380,000 answer books, representing approximately 35% of the 1.1 million scanned copies requested by candidates.
“The results will be released in a phased manner as the processing of individual applications is completed. Today, the results of about 87% of the candidates who applied for re-evaluation and/or verification of the issues observed have been announced. The results of the remaining candidates will also be released in a phased manner and the entire process is expected to be completed soon,” CBSE said in a statement.
Students whose marks have changed after verification or reassessment can access the updated marksheets on DigiLocker.
Candidates whose applications are marked as “No Change” will be given the opportunity to view their answer books at the relevant regional office, with the schedule to be announced later.
The post-result services platform is working under the supervision of technical experts from Digital India Corporation, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras to protect the system from unauthorized access and ensure integrity of the process, CBSE said.
The latest development comes days after HT reported that Hyderabad-based Coempt Edu Teck, which built CBSE’s on-screen marking system, said nearly 95% of the 404,000 students who sought scanned copies got them despite “isolated bottlenecks”. HT also reported on June 6 that CBSE had stopped using Coempt’s OnMark platform for revaluation and moved the process to infrastructure under the direct control of the board.
The board said each application was processed through a “robust, transparent and carefully monitored system” and urged students and parents not to rely on rumors or unverified social media posts for information about the post-result process.
